Expert specialists
All specialists certified in ultrasound who regularly undertake assignments in Africa on behalf of the Foundation SmW do so entirely on a voluntary basis. They use their holidays or free time for this work; the foundation reimburses only their travel and accommodation costs. To keep costs low, the Foundation SmW sends a highly qualified team to Africa twice a year for two groups of participants during consecutive course weeks to deliver the training in collaboration with local instructors.
