Specialists

All specialists certified in ultrasound who regularly undertake assignments in Africa on behalf of the Foundation SmW do so entirely on a voluntary basis. They use their holidays or free time for this work; the foundation reimburses only travel and accommodation costs. To keep costs low, the Foundation SmW sends a highly qualified team to Africa twice a year for two groups of participants during consecutive course weeks to conduct the training in collaboration with local instructors.

Donate

Every franc donated goes exclusively towards running the ultrasound courses. The Foundation SmW is solely responsible for providing training and, where necessary, equipment.

Tax-exempt foundation

The Foundation SmW for Medical Know How Transfer is exempt from tax under Article 23/2/8 of the Value Added Tax Act.

Donation receipt

Donors will receive a tax receipt for their donations.

Supervision of foundations

The BVG and Foundation Supervisory Authority ATIOZ ensures that the foundation uses its assets in accordance with its purpose. To this end, it reviews the annual reports and other documentation https://www.atioz.ch/de/.
